About Ragdolls

Ragdolls are the Quintessential Companion Cat. They are often referred to as "dogcats" because they combine the best of both canine and feline attributes. indeed, they have converted many dog lovers into cat lovers because they seek out human companionship. They also love to play. Many will learn to fetch a ball, and they often carry their toys from room to room and coax you to play with them. You can take them for a walk, but you don't have to. They fit exceptionally well into an urban lifestyle, and are delighted to see you when you come home! There is nothing more soothing at the end of a long day than to cuddle up with your favorite soft, furry, purr-baby! Be forewarned, Ragdolls are addictive Be prepared to fall in love... all over again

Traditional Ragdolls are blue-eyed color-pointed cats. They come in a variety of hues and patterns and are large and extremely docile, often going limp in your arms like a child's ragdoll, hence their name. They have a semi-long coat similar to rabbit fur in softness. Their coats are non-matting, low shedding, and low maintenance. A weekly brushing minimizes shedding and keeps their coats smooth, silky, and healthy.

Ragdolls are strictly indoor cats. They should not be let outdoors unless they are being supervised in a safe enclosed area or being walked on a harness and lead. This is for their protection. Their non-aggressive nature makes them unable protect themselves from the dangers of outdoor life. They will be perfectly happy to live their lives with you indoors, and they will enrich your life beyond belief.
